Add an Event
Before adding an event, you will be asked to search for it. This step ensures that events are not inadvertantly duplicated. If you find that your event is not already included in the calendar, you may submit it for inclusion. Please refer to the submission criteria to verify that your event may be added.
Submission and Acceptance Criteria
Events that do not meet the following criteria will not be approved for inclusion in the calendar.
All events submitted to the calendar must focus on topics and issues related to the crime victim service field such as crime victim assistance, crime victim compensation, or victim advocate training. Approval for inclusion in the calendar is dependant on the accuracy and comprehensiveness of content, timeliness of submission, relevance to the field, and location. Events must be open to the general public and be fully or partially sponsored by a local, state, or federal government agency or nonprofit organization, or supported via public donations. Commercial events will be considered on an individual basis. Fund raisers (e.g., bake sales) will not be included.
Individuals must provide the following information with each submission:
- Event name
- Location (city, state, region, country)
- Sponsoring organization
- Contact information
Additional information, including web addresses and event details, is preferred. All events must focus on issues of interest to the victim assistance field; however, events may also feature information about other criminal justice topics.
NOTE: You must select “Victims” as a Topic Area to be included in the calendar.
