About the National Calendar of Crime Victim Assistance-Related Events
The National Calendar of Crime Victim Assistance-Related Events was developed by the Office for Victims of Crime (OVC). OVC provides federal funds to support crime victim compensation and assistance programs throughout the Nation, offers training for diverse professionals who work with victims, develops and disseminates publications, supports projects to enhance victims' rights and services, and educates the public about victim issues.
OVC created this calendar to help victims, victim service providers, allied professionals, and other interested individuals plan, promote, and locate events in their area. It includes conferences, meetings, training opportunities, ceremonies, and other occasions of interest to the field.

Additional criminal justice-related events can be viewed on the National Criminal Justice Reference Service (NCJRS) Justice Events Calendar. NCJRS is a federally funded resource offering justice and substance abuse information to support research, policy, and program development worldwide. Professionals who register with NCJRS receive two publications free of charge, JUSTINFO and Justice Resource Update, and periodic e-mail notifications about new publications and resources that match your areas of interest.
