|Attendance to this training is by application only. This is a day and a half, hands-on training with certification (upon completion and passing of exam). Participants will have to cover their own transportation and accommodations. Participants will be asked to bring a wireless capable laptop and electronic copies of a subpoena, warrant, and preservation letter from their jurisdiction. Using the tips and information learned, participants will be able to create and enhance materials to bring back to their communities.
To attend this training, all attendees must have attended a previous 2 1/2 day Use of Technology in Intimate Partner conference.
The Use of Technology in Intimate Partner Stalking Advance training for Criminal Justice Professionals will be held from 1:00 pm-5:00 pm on September 19 and from 8:30 am-5:00 pm on September 20. The conference will include a hands-on session, focusing on computer and cell phone forensics and basic evidence collection.
Geared toward law enforcement and other criminal justice professionals, including prosecutors, probation, parole, corrections, and judges, this training will provide essential information on the documentation, collection, and preservation of cell phone and computer evidence. This training will greatly enhance attendees' ability to investigate cases where technology is misused as a tool in stalking.
