On September 26, 2013, one OVC consultant will deliver a 1-hour plenary training, followed by participating as a discussant in a 3-hour breakout session, as requested by the WISE & Healthy Aging organization. Specifically, this request is for a plenary speaker to give an overview of forensic medical evidence; the documentation of injury and evidence in elder abuse; identifying how injuries in the home versus the institutional settings present; identifying gross neglect; and documentation for prosecution. In addition, the plenary speaker will participate as a discussant in the "Elder Justice in Long Term Care" breakout sessions for the remainder of the day. Approximately 125 participants are expected to attend.
