|The webinar will provide a basic overview of federal policy and impact on tribal nations.
-It will increase participants knowledge of the socio-cultural background of native people, family dynamics and the environment in which they live.
-It will improve knowledge and skills of non-Native service providers/responders when responding to victims of sexual assault.
-It will help to eliminate potential racism within response and collaboration and coordination efforts.
-It will improve collaboration between non-Native and Native organizations.
This webinar will provide useful information for a wide variety of professionals such as Sexual Assault Response Teams members comprised of service providers/responders such as the FBI, sheriffs' departments, U.S. Attorney's offices, Victim Witness Advocates, SANE's from Indian Health Service, Native advocates, tribal law enforcement, and behavioral health representatives.
