|On April 24 and 25, 2013, two OVC consultants will deliver one training each at the 2013 Conference on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault sponsored by The Abused Adult Resource Center of Bismarck, North Dakota. The first consultant's 7.5-hour training, titled "Creating a Community Response to the Crime of Human Trafficking," will focus on providing the information and identifying resources needed to proactively and collaboratively respond to the crime of human trafficking and assist its victims, especially those of sex trafficking. The second consultant's 6-hour training, titled "Domestic Violence and its Impact in the Workplace," will educate area employers around domestic violence as a workplace issue, and will offer strategies for employers to recognize and effectively respond to it. Approximately 150-200 administrators, corrections personnel, court personnel, law enforcement personnel, probation personnel, prosecutors, victim advocates, mental health professionals, to be joined by 100 employers from the Greater Bismarck area for the second training, are expected to attend.
