Information:
Effective public policy regarding the problems associated with child sexual abuse (CSA) requires a strong collaborative approach that includes both a criminal justice and a public health perspective that emphasizes prevention. Developing a broader conceptualization of CSA as a public health problem is a necessary first step toward generating interest in and funding for the development of effective prevention practices. The aim of this conference is to provide attendees with a more comprehensive perspective of CSA as a public health issue with the need for prevention of sexual harm and not only intervention following the occasion of sexual harm.

This event is intended for medical and legal professionals and students in Mental Health, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Psychology, Social Work, Law, Law Enforcement as well as other professionals who desire a more comprehensive perspective of child sexual abuse.
