Participants will learn:
1. To recognize the necessary investigative skills required to conduct child fatality investigations and to utilize techniques to identify suspect developemnt if the death is ruled non-accidental.
2. Strategies to understand and dispel myths surrounding suspect interrogations and fundamentals to conduct a successful interrogation.
3. Provide an understanding of the important medical information to use in their evalutaion.
4. Legal implications and requirements of relevant federal and state law, case decisions and regulations for a successful investigations and prosecution. |
