OVC is sponsoring two OVC consultants to deliver a 1-day Regional Advanced Coordinated Community Response (CCR) team training requested by the Oklahoma District Attorneys Council, first in Claremore, then in Norman, Oklahoma. The training will focus on contextual analysis of domestic violence cases, effective investigation, training of law enforcement personnel, collaboration with community partners, the use of non-testimonial statements, and "forfeiture by wrongdoing." This event is supported by the Office for Victims of Crime in coordination with the Office on Violence Against Women. Approximately 100 law enforcement personnel, prosecutors, probation personnel, mental health providers, tribal service providers, victim advocates, 911 first responders and batterer intervention personnel are expected to attend.
