Office of Justice Programs

Every year in April, OVC helps lead communities throughout the country in their annual observances of National Crime Victims' Rights Week (NCVRW), which was observed in 2017 on April 2–8.

This year’s theme—Strength. Resilience. Justice.—reflects a vision for the future in which all victims are strengthened by the response they receive, organizations are resilient in response to challenges, and communities are able to seek collective justice and healing.

This year’s NCVRW Resource Guide, available in both English and Spanish, contains a vibrant array of theme artwork that is available for organizations to incorporate into their outreach materials. View the 2017 NCVRW sample proclamation (PDF 225 kb) to help inspire the community, raise awareness of victims’ rights, and address unmet needs.
